Inspired by the iconic Espelette pepper, Bixia captures its distinctive shape — and its bold personality. Smooth and harmonious in the hand, this fiery little knife brings a touch of originality to your table or slips effortlessly into your pocket.

Available with either a Piémontais mechanism or a liner-lock system, depending on your preference.

Presented on a ceramic pepper plant base — a nod to the real Espelette flower — Bixia comes in an elegant, custom cardboard case.

HANDLE

Stamina wood – A laminated wood infused with colored resin, then compressed under high pressure and heat. Durable, stable, and beautifully vibrant, it offers both resistance and elegance in daily use.

BLADE OPTIONS

Choose from two high-quality steels:

12C27 stainless steel (Sandvik) – A premium stainless steel rich in chromium and carbon, offering a strong, reliable edge that’s easy to maintain.
160-layer stainless Damascus steel – This exceptional steel is crafted like puff pastry: layers of RWL34 (bright) and PMC27 (dark) are forge-welded at 1220°C, then repeatedly hammered, folded, and stretched to create a stunning pattern and unmatched performance.

Maintenance

Except for certain plastics that are water-resistant, the noble and natural materials we use — such as wood, horn, mother-of-pearl, fossilized ivory, and others — do not tolerate prolonged exposure to water.

To clean your knife, simply wash the blade only with warm soapy water and dry it thoroughly with a soft dish towel. Avoid soaking the entire knife.

To care for wooden handles, you can occasionally nourish the wood by gently rubbing in a drop of colorless vegetable oil.
